Palliative Care

Palliative Care is comprehensive care provided by an interdisciplinary team for patients with a serious illness or a chronic progressive illness.

• Care is focused on alleviating physical symptoms and psychosocial burdens, and promoting quality of life.
• Patients may continue to seek curative care while receiving palliative care.
• Services provided are: education and information regarding the illness, care measures to provide pain and symptom management, advance care planning psychosocial and spiritual needs, medication management, and referrals for supportive community resources.
